Do you ever find yourself wondering, “Where did my creativity go?”
You’re in a slump: your everyday life feels so mundane that you can’t find inspiration anywhere and you long for something that will make you feel excited again.
You can’t remember the last time you did something for yourself.
Maybe you’ve tried taking art classes before but felt in over your head or overwhelmed. Or maybe you were too intimidated to even try.
Reconnect with your creative self
Creativity isn’t something that we just have or don’t have. It’s something that we can cultivate and grow in our everyday lives. A life filled with creativity is a life of wonder, expansiveness and joy.
The goal of my workshops is to give you a supportive introduction to artistic techniques that will help you uncover your inner creativity. My emphasis is on helping you work through creative blocks and challenges to arrive at a piece of work that you can be proud of. I keep class sizes small to ensure that everyone gets one-on-one help. It’s important to me that you feel comfortable and that the artwork feels accessible.
Learn in your own home
Do you love the idea of learning a new skill in a supportive, comfortable environment, surrounded by your friends? If you live in Edmonton, Alberta (or surrounding areas) I can bring my workshops to you. I don’t require any special studio space or fancy equipment – everything can be done in your living room or kitchen.
This option is great for birthday parties, stagettes, showers, or any time you want to get a group of friends together. I have two workshops to choose from, however you can also tailor the subject matter and length to suit your interests and needs. Email me at email@example.com if you have questions.
Don’t have a group? I also schedule workshops in my home 3-4 times per year. Sign up for email updates (on the right side of this page) to be the first to find out about the next scheduled class.
Creative Adventuring – Let’s go for a wander around the neighborhood to see what we can discover. Open up your eyes and ears to the creative inspiration that is all around you.
Let me know if there’s something you would like to see added to this list!
What’s it like?
“With the workshop being held in a home and not by an organization per se, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it was great! Fun, well run, good value. It was a great experience, I loved the small atmosphere and the laid back vibe of chatting while we worked, listening to music, and eating snacks while we created. It was very non-pressure and I didn’t feel like I had to be a pro. This was a really great workshop for me personally, I’ve felt a little roadblocked in getting back into a creative habit after neglecting my artsy side while I was in school the last few years. This workshop gave me inspiration and tools to make more art, and inspired me to just start making prints, even if I’m just tracing the lines from a book.” – Paula Cornell
“Your workshop was so great, I’ve been showing off my print to friends and lots of people were really curious about the process…and I was able to tell them! I feel like I learned a lot in a short period of time without realizing I was “learning” because I was having fun.” – Nicole Schafenacker
“I had a lot of fun. It really ignited in me this sense that I am capable of creating art and that is a wonderful feeling. I left the workshop feeling a great sense of pride and accomplishment. And I know it was because of your guidance and your belief in me.” – Anna Wallace
